First I just want to give God thanks because I never thought that this could happen to me. I have been looking for a job since Grade 10, gave resumes in person, online, got called for interviews and nothing. But by God's Grace my brother and I got a job at Target when we needed it the most and when that didn't last He provided me with the job I have wanted since Grade 11! I am so blessed and so incredibly thankful. ☺️
I did write in a post that I had a job interview at Cineplex and I got a call the next day saying they want to offer me a job. I SCREAMED! It has been my dream and not a lot of people understand that. I have read the reviews and have talked to a few people who have worked there and they're not good. Some people even warned me but it does not matter. I am not there for free movies, popcorn or anything like that. I love everything about movies and felt that was my place to be.
I am going through training now and I don't like this phase, I call it the "New Kid on The Block" phase because I am the new kid, everyone there seems to have known each other for years! And I mean years! (8+) Don't get me wrong they are really nice and helpful but there are moments when they talked about something and I have NO idea because I haven't been there that long.
I just can't wait to get past this stage and know how to do everything so it will stop feeling like a job and more like home.
I worked this past weekend when Avengers: Age of Ultron came out and all I can say is WOW! I love the pace and helping people, hearing what they think about the movie, seeing there's faces when they come out!
I will say one thing about Avengers: Age of Ultron though: there is no extra scene after the credits. It was adorable seeing so many people staying back thinking that there was more after the credits but no.
The way marvel movies work is that after the movie they have these special credits that shows the director, producers, casts, etc in a very fancy sequence THEN you get a extra scene. But once you see the regular credits with a pain black background, movie's done.
Anyways, only have the job until I go off to school in September (I'll do a post about that soon!) but I'm hoping that they will transfer me to the Cineplex down there cause there is one.
OH! Your probably wondering why Patch is holding Spider-Man 2 Blu-Ray edition. During the interview they asked me what my favourite movie was (Just a heads up for anyone applying 😉). CLEARLY I can't just pick one, but I picked this one because it was been very important to me in the past 2 years and here's why:
In the movie Aunt. May says something to Peter that He says to Doc. Ock to help him realize who He is and to come to the understanding of what's right. The line is:
"Sometimes to do what's right, we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams."
I was suppose to go to school a year ago but couldn't because of my Mom and I don't blame her. During that time I felt that maybe I wasn't suppose to go to school. That I wasn't suppose to have what I want because it didn't seem possible, not the time or money. And then this quote came in my head that to do what's right (which is to be there for my mom and help out the best I can with my family) I have to give up the thing I want the most which is my dream. To go to school and help create imaginable, creative movies.
I thought that even I should do something else like become a Vet or do Theatre Productions (which I'm still very interested in, and hopefully can do in the future too). In the end though everything worked out, for the better to be exact and I am just in total bliss.
So that's that! Sorry this post was so long I was just really excited about this post!
I'm kinda in a book slump right now. I finished Anna and the French Kiss (you can read my review below) and took a break from that series and start Fairest of All: The story of the Wicked Queen (From snow white) I really like it but haven't picked it up in a while so I'm trying to get back on that horse so I can do a review about that and also another I read that's similar.
