It is What it Is
Is that September?! Was that really the last time I did a post! Jeezz, I hope people reading my post or seeing my blog are still with me.
So here's what's up, Imma try and sum it up the best way I can!
I believe in my last life update post I said I was trying for Vancouver again for 3D Animation and Visual Effects and got in for that program. Well, that dream is over now. Even with the help I was getting, OSAP, job money I still needed $30,000 to cover left over tuition, living expenses, etc. I was denied the loan because I was asking too much and I was using my parents as "co-signers" in a way. Tried for a lower number still a no.
Parents tried for a loan with the company they're with for the house but it would mean them going for a second finance on the house, $5,000 fine, getting my sister involved, etc. BASICALLY it would not put them in a good position and I can't go to school knowing that.
BUT.
I was accepted to Sheridan for their Computer Animation course so I'm going there now.
yyyeeee.... (people who read my post while I was at Sheridan last year know why that "yyyeeee" is there)
I'm also quitting my job at Superstore!
First time ever doing something like this! but since I got moved to a different department cause the position I was hired for wasn't really doing as well as they thought, it has been the most frustrating thing of life (I was starting to think that maybe it's me....Cineplex, school). And believe you me I tried! I asked questions, asked for help when needed but it's just not for me. Yes I need the money but is NOT worth how it's affecting me.
Take it from me, regardless of how much you need money or need something, if you loose who you are because of it, is it worth it? Is it really?? Whatever your looking for, whatever you need it's out there! And you can obtain it and you don't have to sell your soul for it!
Ummm...was that really a sum up...someone let me know.
I'm really slacking on reading my books though! I bring Poor Unfortunate Souls around with me but always end up reading manga instead! I started reading From Far Away from the beginning again for like the tenth time! It was one of my first mangas and I absolutely LOVE it! It's got action, adventure, love, friendship, in a way horror (there are some scary moments in there), a rich story. You won't be disappointed! HIGHLY recommended.
My mom is also doing really good. She has thyroid in her throat (duh) and went to the doctor recently and thank God it's not serious where she has to do surgery. I don't think I could bear seeing her go under the knife again. I'm broken inside. She celebrated her 50th birthday this year and it was very...unexpected, fun, trying time. But her and my Dad are going a much needed trip together so I'm really excited for them!
I also finally saw Spotlight recently, it was so good! The fact that is was based on a true story made it even more grounded for me and I loved it! The story, the acting and the pace. The only thing is, and don't get me wrong I love the movie and thought it was great but I don't know if it really deserved the Oscar for Best Picture this year.
I'm really excited to see Allied. I think it's gonna be good and Moana! Opening this weekend! It's gonna be awesome!
I'm still doing a good portion of photography. I think I'm starting to find my style but it's needs some fine tuning cause I find myself all over the place still. There's this account on Youtube called the "Creator's Class" it's basically a class for creators by creators. Right now I'm watching their playlist of all these different photographers (from Toronto mind you) and their inspirations, how they got started, what equipment they use and what strives them to be better. I really love it!

...
Now your probably thinking you read a lot about me doing photography and yes I wanna go to school for computer animation but I haven't really posted much of my work (except for that post that I was totally heart broken not getting into computer animation the first time and posted my submission for the course) on that or ever really did a full post about it.
True.
I'm getting there.
Right now I guess I'm just more passionate about photography but computer animation is always where my heart is. Even if I'm not talking about, posting about it or even working on my project that I gave MYSELF TWO WEEKS TO FINISH 2 MONTHS AGO.
I really want to freshen' up on my skills before school starts so I'm going to be watching some videos, going over my notes from DC and opening up the files I have saved with my scenes from the past.
Christmas is around the corner and my birthday tomorrow! JOKE. But time is going by so fast it feels like it...I like to buy the big stuff for myself cause their HELLA expensive and save small things like a HDMI cord, gift cards or movies for my christmas list.
My life is just one heck of a roller coaster right now (kinda like this post) but God knows what He's doing (I sure don't but hey, who am I to question His works?)
I'm working on my website again, hopefully once I'm more into school and I have the proper tools, skills and body of work it will be awesome! But for now you can browse through it here: thejojoproject (my friend came up with the name for a album of photos of me and I loved it so much I thought it was perfect and asked to use it!)
Okay that was the last random topic for this post.
I'm not even gonna promise to do another post very soon because I would probably be classified as a liar so I will leave you with this,
Another post will be coming in the future and a scripture: "delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" - Psa.37:4
