Everything, Everything - Movie Review
So this post is coming out of nowhere but then again so did this movie...
SPOILERS! IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS MOVIE OR READ THE BOOK THAN DON'T READ THIS! I'M SERIOUS!
but hey if your surprised as I am that I even have a review for this and don't care about spoilers than be my guest.
Okay to be fair I did not read the book and I'm listening to the song Stay by Zedd that was used in the movie so I feel I might be a little swayed right now
Okay so like I said I did not read the book so I can't make any comparisons to see what they got right and what they got wrong, so I am at a lost there BUT I do have nothing to based/compare it to which is also a good thing. Fresh eyes!
Honestly, I learned about this movie when I saw part of the trailer on Instagram...right?! who knew that would actually work. Plus I was really in the mood for something cheesy and honestly this was it.
Don't expect some big dramatic movie here cause you won't get it. It plays out EXACTLY like how you think it would even if you haven't read the book...
Sick girl meets boy
Girl and boy fall in love
Mom forbids it
Girl and guy run away together
Something goes wrong
Girl and guy break up
Girl finds out she's not sick
Girl and guy get back together
That's it. I'm serious. No joke.
I was serious, don't expect some big drama or Oscar worthy performances though I did enjoy Anika Noni Rose otherwise know as...

Oh, she was also in Dream Girls too but come on, does anyone really remember her from that?
I also didn't like how she kinda portrayed as the bad one. And yeah what she did was wrong but damn! when you find out what she lost, you kinda can't really blame her for wanting to protect her baby!
Plus when you do feel hostile towards her, she makes this face that you just can't be mad at, like I was watching it and I got mad but then I saw her face and was like "Oh Mom....your right, you did good"
Also for a second it does seem like she's on her daughter's side then does a complete 360! Like I did not expect that! I was hoping she wouldn't become that kinda character and for a second she didn't and then went right back to it....
The main girl, Maddy played by Amandla Stenberg...honestly...I had no idea where she came from. I thought she was that crazy, dumbwitted, freaky, psychopath from When the Bough Breaks...
her.
man I wanna hit her with my car....the unfortunate people who have seen When the Bough Break knows what I'm talking about...
But anyways, apparently she's from the Hunger Games movies...or really just the first one cause she SPOILER but you've seen it, dies in it.
She was fine really. Really, just fine. I would have expected more...I guess range in certain scenes but yeah she's only been in a few movies so I let it slide.
But what your all reading this for, so what did you think about the main guy????
Wait...hold up...
is that...
IS THAT THE EYE STARING STOCKING CHEATING DUDE FROM JURASSIC WORLD????
damn...
He was fine. not fine like "oo he fine" just fine. literally! Well better than his role in Jurassic world anyway...don't know if that's saying a lot
I feel that's all I can say about these guys!
And this movie! It was fine, there were times where I'm like she just came out of the water...WHY is her blow dried?!
And didn't I see that shot somewhere else?
I did like how the girl wears white and the guy wears black. You get why that while she likes him, he's not good for her, kinda like tainting her in away but in a good way. In some scenes you even find her changing from white to other colors like blue and yellow
I'm sure it means more in the book but that's what I got from it.
There was also an astronaut in some case, in these scenes like I didn't mind but also kinda didn't really care for but again I'm sure it means more in the book.
Overall this was a fine movie, still a better love story than Twilight.
If you read the book and if you enjoyed it or not, you should see it and if you haven't read the book and are in the mood for from teen fictional, cheesy, cliche love than you should watch this
Well I'm typing this up in class and a little embarassed by it so I'm gonna end it here and get back to work, I just needed to get this outta my system first. I have not seen GOTG2 yet...honestly I'm not that excited for it so I'll see it eventually.
Blessings!
